Beauty by Botanicals: How Herbs Support Skin Health

Presented by: Charlotte Kikel, MS

A Two-Hour Online Class in the Internal & External Uses of Phytotherapy for Optimal Skin Health & Radiance

Description: On the one hand, it’s great from a holistic perspective when imbalances show themselves on the skin, as it’s considered to be a superficial expression of dis-ease. On the other hand, everyone might see it! 50 million Americans suffer from acne and one in ten will develop atopic dermatitis. Drug commercials are rampant on television for skin conditions, often with toxic effects on the liver. So as a practitioner who turns to Nature’s remedies first, what can you offer? This webinar will take a deep dive into which herbs will better support your patients with common skin complaints. We will address both internal and external applications of herbal medicine giving everyone hope that they might cultivate a healthy glow from the inside out.

  1. Anatomy and physiology of the skin.
  2. Pathophysiology of the skin.
  3. The role of Centella asiatica, Calendula officinalis, Echinacea angustifolia and Arctium lappa in skin health.
  4. Targeted support for common skin complaints with internal and external applications.
  5. Live Q&A
