Meet Your Instructors
Mark Rhodes, PhD
Mark Rhodes, PhD is a consulting scientist, educator, and pioneer in Natural Functional Medicine. For more than 25 years, he has trained doctors, consulted with practitioners, and worked directly with patients. During that time, he has trained more than 8,000 practitioners and helped more than 50,000 patients.
Dr. Rhodes later became co-founder of Diagnos-Techs, the first salivary hormone lab in the world. Drawing on his background in research, biology, teaching, and programming, he took a deep dive into hormones and health. With several immediate family members facing significant chronic health challenges, his focus shifted from ecology and biology toward alternative and functional approaches to health. He began consulting with practitioners and patients in 1997.
Today, Dr. Rhodes mentors practitioners in Natural Functional Medicine and salivary hormone testing through personalized coaching packages. He also continues to serve patients directly through consultations and testing. Whether teaching, mentoring, problem-solving, or helping others pursue wholeness, Dr. Rhodes is deeply committed to passing on a legacy and supporting the next generation.
Dr Michael Gaeta, DAc, MS, CDN, CNFMP, BCNFM, Dipl Acu & ABT (NCCAOM), LMT, CAT
Dr Michael Gaeta’s purpose is to co-create a world of vital, resilient people who choose a lifestyle of “nature first, drugs last.” To accomplish this, he treats patients with Chinese and functional medicine, and helps natural health professionals upgrade their patient care and practice success. His teaching is informed by 36 years of successful clinical practice.
Michael holds licenses in acupuncture, dietetics-nutrition, and massage therapy. He is also an herbalist, and a doctor of acupuncture in Rhode Island. He earned his Master of Science degree in acupuncture from the New York College of Health Professions, where he was a faculty member for ten years. Dr Gaeta is Board-Certified in Natural Functional Medicine by the American Association of Natural Wellness Practitioners.
Through the accredited Gaeta Institute for Wholistic Health Education, Dr Gaeta gives live and online trainings in wholistic health, and clinical and business success for practitioners. These include the Clinician’s Mastermind Circle, a one-year Board certification program in natural functional medicine. Since 2020, he has hosted the Mondays with Michael weekly podcast on natural health and health freedom. Dr Gaeta is also active nationally in promoting health choice and informed consent.
