MARK BERGER, MD
After graduating from the University of Minnesota Medical School, Dr Berger spent four years in the US Navy taking care of a battalion of Marines, including six months in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm. He spent the next four years studying diagnostic radiology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, followed by a fellowship in body imaging at Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina. He has spent 20 years practicing as a diagnostic radiologist in St. Paul, Minnesota, and now in Colorado.
A life-changing moment occurred for Dr Berger after years of seeing people’s health deteriorate in the images he was interpreting. He realized that conventional medicine was simply broken. Individuals were becoming sicker and sicker while trying to follow conventional medical wisdom and nutritional recommendations. After transforming his own diet and lifestyle, he became interested in discovering both conventional and alternative forms of therapy that would allow individuals the greatest opportunity to maintain their health and prevent illness. This led to his functional & integrative medicine certifications through the University of Arizona, Cleveland Clinic, Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and the Kresser Institute.
Dr Berger’s CMP presentation is entitled Metabolic Radiology.
