BERNIE SIEGEL, MD
Bernard Siegel, MD, who prefers to be called Bernie, was born in Brooklyn, NY, in 1932. He graduated Cornell University Medical College, and in 1989, retired from practice as an assistant clinical professor of surgery at Yale.
In 1978, Bernie originated Exceptional Cancer Patients, a form of individual and group therapy utilizing patients’ drawings, dreams, images and feelings, to facilitate lifestyle changes, personal empowerment and healing of the individual’s life.
He has published 18 books and 22 recordings, and been featured in nine films. His books include Love, Medicine & Miracles, Peace, Love & Healing, How to Live Between Office Visits, and Prescriptions for Living. His books aim to humanize medical education and care, empower patients, and teach survival behavior to enhance immune system competency. Bernie was named one of the top 20 Spiritually Influential Living People on the Planet by the Watkins Review.
